Mighty Panther Marching Band

The Snider Mighty Panther Marching Band is performing their 2016 show titled “Kind of Blue to Green” in competitions across the state. “Kind of Blue to Green” is based on music by Miles Davis, specifically his 1959 album Kind of Blue. Songs from the show include “Milestones,” “Kind of Blue,” and “Miles Closer,” all written by Mr. Kevin Klee. Soloists in the show include Drew Furman (senior, trumpet), Alex Van Cleave (junior, trumpet), Brandon Crabill (junior, trumpet), Daniel Dumford (senior, saxophone), and Carson Skinner (sophomore, saxophone). Band directors are Mr. Kevin Klee and Mrs. Helen Hockemeyer. The Snider Marching Band performs at all home football games, sends pep bands to away football playoff games, and performs at competitions throughout the fall. Rehearsals are open to spectators and take place 4:30-6:30pm all weekdays, with an extended 7:00-9:00pm rehearsal time on Thursday nights.
