Three Pinterest-Tested Dips for your Fall Festivities
By Chloe Slen and Kendra McDaniel
Chilly fall weather calls for festive treats to eat huddled around the fire. We’ve turned to Pinterest to gather some inspiration. Below are three easy dips for you to enjoy with your friends and family.
Brownie Batter Dip
Recipe from Fake Ginger
- ½ cup (1 stick) butter, at room temperature
- 1 (8 ounce) block cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 ½ cups brownie mix
- 2 – 3 tablespoons milk
- ¼ – ½ cup candy corn for the top
In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment, beat butter and cream cheese together until smooth. With the mixer on low, slowly add in brownie mix. Add milk until it reaches the desired consistency. Transfer to the serving bowl and sprinkle with candy corn.
4-Ingredient Pumpkin Dip
From Six Sisters Stuff
- 1 (15 ounce) can pumpkin
- 1 (5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1/2 Tablespoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1 (16 ounce) container Cool Whip
- Graham crackers or wafer cookies
In a large bowl, beat together pumpkin, vanilla pudding mix and pumpkin pie spice.
Fold in Cool Whip.
Keep in the refrigerator until serving and serve with graham crackers.
The Pumpkin Dip is best paired with graham cracker sticks; however it is also delicious with a vanilla wafer. Sprinkling a little more of the pumpkin pie spice jazzes up this autumn treat.
From Kathryn Lawson
- 8 oz. cream cheese
- ¼ cup brown sugar
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
Mix all ingredients until sugar is fully dissolved.
This dip would be best paired with fresh cut honey crisp apples or cinnamon sugar graham crackers.
