Updates in Band
The Scholastic Class A Finals were continued Saturday, October 27 at Mount Vernon High School after last week’s wind delay. The Mighty Panther Marching Band left their last competition in 10th place with the highest score they have received this season.
The Weekend in Sports
Snider Football beat Carroll in the first round of sectionals 49-30 with tight ends Simon Dellinger and Braxton Mantel combining for four touchdowns. Senior cross country runner Jesse Hamlin placed 6th overall at the State race, the highest any Snider runner has ever placed in school history.
Wednesday in Sports
Panther Hockey fell in the rematch against the Leon Lions, losing 4-1.

Updates in Band
The Scholastic A Finals competition started on Saturday, October 20 at Mount Vernon High School. Due to wind, some of the band performances were rescheduled to this upcoming Saturday, October 27. The first place band will move on to the state competition at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Weekend in Sports
Senior cross country runner Jesse Hamlin was the second runner in Snider history to take the first overall prize at the Semi-State competition. Kobe Milledge and Bryce Jennings finished their seasons, placing 19th and 53rd respectively. Bryce Hower scored the lone goal, as Panther Hockey fell to Brebeuf 5-1.
Wednesday in Sports
Panther Hockey beat the Homestead Spartans 4-1, improving to a record of 4-1.
Cabeen Gains Skills for TV Production at Anthis
The hands-on learning and the fact he is in a class with like-minded people who want to pursue similar careers is Cabeen’s favorite part about Anthis. To explain how the TV Production class at Anthis compares to traditional school, he discussed final projects, assignments and homework.

Freshmen football fell to Bishop Dwenger on Thursday. Varsity football defeated Bishop Luers after a dominant second half. Girls volleyball lost to Concordia in the semi-finals. Boys cross country landed three runners in the semi-state race. Freshman and JV Football took down Bishop Luers 23-8 in their respective final games.
