Feb 3 Announcements

The speech team competed at the Lakeland invitational.  Simone McCowan took fifth place in poetry and Victor Song took third place in informative speaking.   
We will be competing at Bishop Dwenger next Saturday.  

The Wrestling team is your 2020 Sectional Champion!  This is the first Sectional title since 2012.  11 Wrestlers advance to the Carroll Regionals on Saturday and 13 wrestlers placed overall.  Brady Ester, Beau Humphrey, and Jacob Kreager are Sectional Champions.  Brady Ester earned his 100th career victory in his championship match.  Emmanuel Ellis, Reakus Shelton, Elijah Talamantez, Mekhi Spencer, and Tavian Rucklos were runner-up.  Hayden Tippmann finished 3rd.  Kenneth Ware and Gianini Belizaire placed fourth.  Spencer Sharp and Carter Wortman placed fifth 

The Swim & Dive team had two separate events this weekend. 

Friday evening, Panthers Diver Sarah Rodenbeck competed in and won the JV Dive Invite. Congratulations Sarah on your first place finish! 

Saturday, the swimmers travelled to Carroll to compete against both the Chargers and the Homestead Spartans with many swimmers getting the opportunity to swim some events they don’t normally compete in.

Citlali Saldana with a 13 second time drop in her 100 freestyle 

Sam Trowbridge for an excellent 100 backstroke 

Julian Slater with a 40 second best time in the 500 freestyle 

Jakeila Walton and Danilo Djuric for outstanding swims in their first ever 100 backstroke and 100 breaststroke respectively.  

Come support the girls’ team this weekend in their Sectional Meet. Prelims start at 6:00pm at Helen P Brown Natatorium with finals Saturday starting at 12:30pm. 

The Snider varsity boys basketball team won another thriller Friday night, 56-55 to stay atop the conference standings. The 14-3 Panthers were led by Dillon Duff with 17 points, Michael Eley with 16 and Karson Jenkins hit 4 3’s in route to 16 points.  

The freshman, JV, and varsity teams are all in action at home tomorrow vs Dwenger.  

The Snider Winter Guard competed at the Bishop Dwenger invitational this past Saturday.  They placed second at this show out of 17 guards from around the state.  Congratulations, Snider Winter Guard, on a fantastic first show! 

The Snider Gymnastics team has their first home meet TODAY, Monday against Dwenger.  If you have never watched gymnastics, this is a perfect opportunity!  

Carnations will be on sale February 4th, 5th, 6th, 10th, and 11th. They will be $1. 

Attention ALL Snider Students: 

There will be a CALLOUT MEETING NEXT WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 5, 2020 AT 8:30 AM IN THE AUDITORIUM for any young man or woman interested in participating in the first ever Northeast Indiana Snider Esports teams. Please plan to attend, for more information see Mr. Todor or Mr. Wilhelm 

Students: Per our attendance policy, students that have 25 or more cumulative attendance violations this semester are not permitted to attend extracurricular events. 

Updated lists of those close to and over 25 attendance violations are posted in the cafeteria, commons and outside the attendance office. 

CHECK THE LIST!!   NO REFUNDS WILL BE PROVIDED!!! 

Any student on the NO GO List may be reinstated with (20) consecutive days of PERFECT attendance
